Arusha National Park

Arusha is one of our smaller parks and lies in the eastern foothills of Mt. Meru, Africa’s fourth highest mountain. There are many lakes within and outside the park and the vegetation in the three distinct zones are correlated with the altitude and geology of this volcanic area. From here there are superb views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.
In the montane forests there are many streams and waterfalls and in the lower area of the park there is a small crater much like a miniature Ngorongoro. The main attractions in this park are the rare, elusive and shy animals not seen in our other parks - black and white colobus, suni, red duiker and bushbuck - and the beautiful scenery. You drive directly from your camp to the airport for your flight home.
